How can you be the eyes, ears and hands of Jesus today?

Faith challenge!

Hi boys and girls!  Mme S. has a faith challenge for you....

First...watch this video....while you are watching I want you to look for the ways people are inspiring each other to be like Jesus.

Now....how can you be like Jesus today?

I want you to tell me about something you did to help someone else.  It could be something you did today, yesterday or a few days ago.

How to share your idea:  You can double-click on this Padlet to add your idea.
Start by typing your first name then write about how you helped someone.

I did the first one to show you!
I can't wait to read all the ways you have been the eyes, ears and hands of Jesus.

Spring has Sprung and we have been busy bees!

Our class has been busy learning about
2D shapes and 3D figures.

Here are some photos of the "positive/negative" space art we created.  Try and find some polygons and quadrilaterals in this art.  Which shapes are neither?
Can you explain why or why not?

The next photos show the 3D structures we created:

Narratives...story telling with online inspiration

Storybird is a creative tool that can inspire students to write!  The beautiful and often fanciful artwork promotes the expression of endless ideas.

Our class has recently produced a variety of stories - enjoy!

Now...of course with all writing, authors must look at their work and notice what could be added or changed to make improvements.  As you read these stories boys and girls, remember to notice what you could change and improve next time!

**Remember students...in order for your "Storybird" to be posted on our blog you need to "publish it" first. Before publishing, please edit spelling and punctuation.  Too many errors and your story will not be posted!

HOW TO....writing procedural texts

After reading many procedural texts by other authors our class was finally ready to write their own.  The best topic an author can choose is something they know about - this will make the writing process feel so much easier!

Students also incorporated the non-fiction features they learned about to make their "how to" text easy to understand and interesting to read.

We hope you enjoy our procedures and maybe even try writing one yourself!

Have you ever had something go missing?

Our class has been working hard on some
adventure stories!
Each story tells a tale about something that has
gone missing.
Some endings are happy, others are not...but all these stories are enjoyable to read!

What did these authors do well?

How could they improve their stories?
You can leave a comment to let us know.

Media texts galore!

Here they are...the remaining media texts that students have been working on.

You will definitely notice how the students have learned to  use coloured font, photos, and images to capture your attention.
